Mucuna pruriens

Mucuna pruriens, commonly known as velvet bean (or đậu mèo rừng in Vietnamese), is a tropical legume native to Africa and tropical Asia. It is highly recognized in herbal medicine because its seeds naturally contain high levels of L-DOPA (levodopa), which is the direct chemical precursor to the neurotransmitter dopamine.
